Privacy Policy

Ace Overlay is built to be private by default. This policy explains what data the app and this website handle.
What stays on your device
Everything you create — overlays, notes, screenshots, workspaces, settings — is stored locally on your computer. It is never uploaded to us. Screenshots taken with the app capture your screen locally and are saved only into your workspace file.
What leaves your device
- License activation (paid versions). When you activate a license, the app sends your license key and a one-way hashed device identifier to our licensing provider (Keygen.sh) to enforce the device limit. This hash cannot be reversed into personal information.
- Update checks. The app periodically contacts our update server to see if a new version exists. This is a standard HTTPS request; we do not attach personal data to it.
- Anonymous usage statistics (opt-in only). Off by default. If you enable it in Settings, the app may send anonymous feature-usage counts to help us improve the product. No overlay content is ever included.
Purchases
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. When you buy a license we receive your email address (to deliver your key) and the purchase details. Our licensing provider stores your license and its activated devices.
This website
Hosted on Cloudflare. Standard server logs (IP address, user agent) may be processed by Cloudflare for security and performance. We do not run advertising or third-party tracking scripts.
Your rights
You can request a copy or deletion of the data associated with your license (your email and license records) at any time by contacting us. Deleting your license data will deactivate your license.
